BIRMINGHAM, MI, October 6, 2016 – All things pink, shopping, yoga and fun are on the agenda for the Birmingham Shopping District’s brand new event, Shop Pink IN Birmingham, scheduled for Saturday, October 15. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event is being held in collaboration with The Pink Fund.

The event kicks off with yoga in Shain Park from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. led by Community House Yoga Instructor, Sandra Krafsur. This is a ticketed event and limited to 100 people. Tickets are available for a $5 donation to The Pink Fund at http://bit.ly/ShopPinkYoga. One hundred percent of the ticket price will benefit an Oakland County woman in active treatment for breast cancer. The price is low to encourage the yogis to shop afterward. Participants will receive ‘Shop Pink IN Birmingham’ bracelets and shopping bags filled with incentives.

Participating stores in downtown Birmingham will decorate their storefronts in pink and offer shopping incentives such as: complimentary drinks, raffle prizes, free samples, coupon cards, special trunk shows and more. An information tent will be set up at Henrietta and Maple from 12 to 4 pm, where shoppers can receive shopping bags full of incentives (limited quantities available), learn about participating stores and enter to win fun prizes with Ford Warriors in Pink.

The Pink Fund provides individuals in active treatment with financial assistance to cover non-medical expenses. Learn more about the organization at www.pinkfund.org. Thank you to the Observer & Eccentric for sponsoring this event.
