BIRMINGHAM BLOOMFIELD CHAMBER HOSTS COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST

Birmingham, Mich. — On Tuesday, Oct. 10, the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber will host its annual Community Leadership Breakfast at The Village Club. From 8-10 a.m. attendees can enjoy a nonprofit expo, networking, two keynote speakers and a plated breakfast all designed to draw attention to the good deeds being done in our communities.

The event also brings together and encourages the for-profit community to find a charitable partner for their philanthropy, leadership and support. Business leaders will have an opportunity to connect one-on-one with local nonprofits and discover opportunities to become involved within the community.

“The Community Leadership Breakfast always is the Chamber staff’s favorite event of the year because it is filled with powerful examples of the amazing talent and commitment volunteer leaders display in improving the quality of life in our communities,” said Chamber President Joe Bauman. “And every year, our keynote speakers literally bring tears to the eyes of our guests as they tell how they turned a personal challenge into a benefit for the greater community.”

This year, sixteen nonprofits will be in attendance. Participants include the Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition, Birmingham Youth Assistance, Bloomfield Hills Schools Foundation, Bottomless Toy Chest, Boy Scouts of America, Community Housing Network, Haven, Hope Against Trafficking, Oakland County Children’s Village, Oakland Mediation Center, Sky Foundation, The Community House, Variety – The Children’s Charity, Village Players, and Yoga by Design Foundation.

Keynote speakers are Michelle Murphy, Executive Director of Variety – The Children’s Charity and Paul Artale, work-life and motivation expert who will share his personal story of overcoming adversity.

The Village Club is located at 190 E. Long Lake Road in Bloomfield Hills. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased online at www.bbcc.com or by calling (248) 644-1700.
