The Detroit Academy of Fashion and Media Design is a new public school academy that will offer enrolled students a highly engaging and rigorous academic program.Our academic course offerings will include a literacy-based program that is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and learning expectations identified by the Michigan Department of Education. Enrolled students will also have a unique opportunity to select a career pathway area of study that includes Fashion Design, Visual Merchandising, Arts and Photography or Media Gaming Design. Our program will initially serve students in grades 7 through 9. After our opening year, an additional grade will be added each year through grade 12. Our goal is for all Detroit Academy of Fashion and Media Design students to graduate prepared to pursue a post-secondary program of study that supports the achievement their dreams.
