Bloomfield Township Public Library invites the public to attend a special reception at the Library on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. celebrating the library, the community, and photography.
Earlier this year, amateur photographers were invited to enter the Bloomfield Township Public Library Photo Contest and capture the joy of reading in a photograph. Bloomfield Township residents were eligible to enter up to two photos with a focus on reading, books, or libraries. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
The public is invited to vote for the winner of the People’s Choice award. Stop by the Library or visit our website www.btpl.org to vote.
Prizes include a VSN Mobil V360 HD camera courtesy of Woodward Camera and gift certificates to Roberts Restaurant Group restaurants.
In addition to these awards, an installation of beautifully restored and framed historic photographs taken during the opening of Bloomfield Township Public Library will be unveiled. This project is the vision of staff emeritus Virginia Lee Smith, a long-time library supporter and volunteer. The Friends of Bloomfield Township Public Library provided the funding for the photo restoration and framing.
