57th Birmingham Village Fair Returns to downtown Birmingham from June 2 – June 5
The 57th Birmingham Village Fair will be returning to Downtown Birmingham in Shain Park June 2 – June 5. The four-day event hosted by the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber will feature carnival rides, games and food all community members can enjoy. The fair will be on the streets surrounding Shain Park. Admission to the fair is free and ride vouchers and tickets are available for purchase.
“We are beyond thrilled to bring this iconic event back to Birmingham after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Chamber President Joe Bauman. “The Village Fair is part of the fabric of our community, as well as an important fundraiser for both the Chamber and our many local, nonprofit partners that receive badly needed funding from the carnival.”
After a two year absence due to the pandemic, the Chamber is looking forward to the return of their major fundraiser. The fair also benefits local nonprofit organizations such as the Birmingham Family YMCA, Birmingham Youth Assistance and Birmingham Rotary Club also receive proceeds from the fair through donations.
“We have distributed more than $100,000 to local nonprofits in past years, and we could not do this without the generous support of our sponsors and the carnival operator, North American Midway Entertainment,” Bauman said. “And we are grateful to the city of Birmingham for allowing us to use Shain Park and downtown Birmingham as the most incredible backdrop for the fair.” Sponsors of this year’s Village Fair are Chief Financial Credit Union, Michigan United Credit Union, Academy of the Sacred Heart, Renaissance Contracting and Roofing, and Helping Hand Nursing Service
Ride vouchers for unlimited fair rides are available to purchase online. Fair-goers can save $5 by purchasing a ride voucher for $25 in advance in advance up to June 2. The vouchers can be purchased at www.bbcc.com or at the following locations: Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber at 725 S. Adams, Suite 130, in Birmingham; Michigan United Credit Union at 576 E. Lincoln St. in Birmingham; and Bank of Ann Arbor-Birmingham Branch at 33583 Woodward Avenue in Birmingham.
Credit Cards accepted at ticket booth to purchase ride tickets and vouchers. Prices for tickets set by fair company and subject to change.
