Bloomfield Township Public Library Appoints Sandra Edwards to Library Board of Trustees

The Bloomfield Township Public Library Board of Trustees has appointed Bloomfield Township resident Sandra Edwards to fill a vacancy on the Board.  The vacancy was created by the death of Pam Williams, who had served on the Board for 9 years.

Ms. Edwards brings extensive experience in public relations, marketing, and fundraising to her role on the Library Board of Trustees.  She also has public library experience, having served on a library board in New York and volunteered at a library in Massachusetts. Library Board of Trustees President Eli Greenbaum said, “We had a wealth of qualified candidates for the trustee position. This community deserves a world-class library, and I believe every applicant wanted to support that goal. This was a very difficult decision and any choice would have been a good one. After much deliberation, Sandy Edwards rose to the top.”

Ms. Edwards will be sworn in by Bloomfield Township Deputy Clerk Deanna Mondock prior to the Board’s regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Bloomfield Township Public Library is located at 1099 Lone Pine Road (at Telegraph), Bloomfield Township, MI. For more information, call the Library at (248) 642-5800 or visit their website a twww.btpl.org.
