Axe & Ecklund advises cities, counties, villages, townships and other governmental units on the best way to issue municipal bonds and notes. Developing individual ways for a municipal client to market its bonds, notes, and other debt and revenue obligations, the firm principally assists government units in raising funds by structuring the borrowings, preparing all legal documents, conducting a competitive sale, and providing its unqualified opinion on the validity and tax exemption of the bond issue.
“We’re pleased to announce that our attorneys and staff have joined Clark Hill,” John R. Axe said. “We are delighted to add our existing suite of bond counsel services to Clark Hill’s broad range and depth of legal services.”
“This is a great opportunity for our firm to expand our municipal bond expertise and the range of services we can offer our municipal and finance clients,” said Clark Hill Banking & Finance Practice Group Leader Jeffrey J. Conn. “We look forward to the insight and talent this team will bring.”
