BBChamber Names New Board Chair, Appoints New Directors for 2021

The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber board of directors has appointed Vincent Gotko to a two-year term as Chair beginning Jan. 1, 2021. Gotko, a partner with the accountant firm Fenner, Melstrom and Dooling PLC in Birmingham, replaces insurance benefits expert Sunny Connolly of Patterson Bryant as chair.

Connolly, who completed his two-year term as chair, remains on the board’s Executive Committee as immediate past chair.
“This year, the chamber faced enormous challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and I greatly appreciated Sunny’s steady leadership and reassurance that we would make it through the year with the organization intact and poised for a great recovery in 2021,” said Chamber President Joe Bauman. “With his financial background and expertise, I believe Vince is probably the best Chair at this time to help us navigate out of this economic storm”

In addition to elevating Gotko to serve as chair, the board also appointed Tom Dluzen and Lisa Brown new directors to serve a three-year term beginning January 1.

Dluzen has served as President and CEO of Chief Financial Credit Union, a medium-sized credit union headquartered in Southeast Michigan, since 2010. Brown is the regional directory of radiology services for Henry Ford Health System. “Tom and Lisa both are fantastic additions to our board of directors and their varied experiences and backgrounds will be invaluable in helping to set policy for the BBC for years to come,” Bauman said.
