BBCHAMBER WELCOMES THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS AND APPOINTS NEW CHAIR

Birmingham, Mich. – The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber (BBChamber) has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors.

Joining the board for three-year terms are Rosemarie Shubitowski, Manager of Community Relations at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital; Stephan Guy, Birmingham District President at Bank of Ann Arbor; and Vera Day Rizer, General Manager of Big Rock Chophouse and The Reserve in Birmingham.

Shubitowski has more than years of healthcare experience in marketing, community outreach, operational and administrative roles within hospital development. Guy has over 15 years’ experience in the banking industry. Rizer recently won a Champion Award from the Michigan Restaurant Association, and named Manager of the Year by the organization in 2016.

The board of directors also named Sunny Connolly board chair for a two-year term. Connolly has served as a Chamber director for six years. He is a partner with Bingham Farms-based Patterson-Bryan Group, an insurance management and consulting group specializing in employee benefits programs.

“We are thrilled to add three directors with such impressive and wide-ranging expertise as represented by Romy, Steve and Vera,” said Chamber President Joe Bauman. “All three individuals are dedicated and viewed as leaders in their respective industries, and no doubt will bring a wealth of talent and commitment to forwarding the Chamber’s mission of advancing the business interests and building relationships in the six member communities we serve and throughout southeast Michigan.”

The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber is a membership organization dedicated to promoting the economic development, strengthen the business climate and improve the quality of life in the six communities it serves, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township and Franklin.
