Bloomfield Township Public Library Annual Photo Contest

Bloomfield Township Public Library is kicking off its second annual amateur photo contest. The contest begins January 15, 2018, and is open to amateur photographers of all ages residing in Bloomfield Township. The contest theme is “One World, Many Stories,” a celebration of community.

“Bloomfield Township residents are encouraged to capture the world through their camera lens,” said Tera Moon, Assistant Library Director. “Entrants can define their world as they choose. It might be an individual’s garden, a school, a visit to a new country—even a quiet moment shared with a loved one or a shared story. We want people to use their imagination to take the best picture they can.”

Each entrant may submit up to two photos in either digital or print format. Photos must be taken between May 1, 2017, and March 18, 2018. The deadline for entering is March 18, 2018.

The Library will present Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. The Best in Show winner will receive a Dromida drone equipped with a camera, courtesy of Woodward Camera in Birmingham. Winners will be announced at a special reception on Saturday, April 14, at the Library.
