Birmingham, MICH., January 7, 2013 – The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber congratulates Member and Ambassador, Lori T. Williams, owner and managing attorney of Your Legal Resource, PLLC as she celebrates her 2000th referral for legal services.
“Networking is one of the Chamber’s core tenants, and we’re thrilled that Lori has received so much support from our local community through referrals to her business,” says Joe Bauman, president of the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber. “We’ve also enjoyed having Lori serve on the Ambassador Committee the last several years.”
Williams founded Your Legal Resource in 2004, after practicing family law for 14 years prior. It started as a legal referral service connecting the right client with the right legal professional and then grew to include consulting for local attorneys and other professionals to help them grow their practice. “Most of my clients are referred by their family members, friends, and their trusted advisors such as financial advisors, bankers, CPA’s, and counselors. That’s why the Chamber and other organizations have been so vital to me in growing my business. By being involved in the community, I’ve developed long term relationships and they have been referring to me for years.”
One such example is Vikki Brown, who is the owner of Fresh & Clean Dry Cleaners in Beverly Hills. “I met Lori when we both attended a Chamber Ribbon Cutting for What Crepe? in Birmingham. We got to talking and I took her card in case I ever needed an attorney. A few months later I was expanding my business and needed some employment contracts drawn up and turned to Lori for a referral. I was very pleased with her services and the attorneys she referred me to. They knew exactly what I needed and took care of it right away.”

Williams also serves as Membership Co-Chair for the Women’s Bar Association, which is the Oakland Region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She is also an active member of and Ambassador to The Collaborative Group, based in Birmingham, is a blogger for Birmingham Patch, is active at the Birmingham Campus of Kensington Community Church where she serves as a Stephen Minister, and is the mother of two sons: Daniel who attends Groves High School and Andrew who attends MSU as a James Madison student.
