MSGCU Celebrates Macomb County Bicentennial

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – June 25, 2018 – Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union (MSGCU) was honored to support the Macomb County Bicentennial Celebration by sponsoring a special event at the conclusion of the torch relay on Friday, June 22. As the commemorative 200-mile torch relay came to an end near the river front in Mt. Clemens, thousands of Macomb County residents celebrated the 200 year anniversary with music, food and a fireworks show.

Founded in Fraser, Michigan more than 60 years ago, MSGCU began by serving educators and school employees in Macomb County. As the community grew, the credit union did as well by welcoming all community members. Now serving more than 122,000 members at 14 branches in the Metro Detroit area, the credit union’s dedication to educators, school employees, public servants and Macomb County remains strong.

Along with State and local elected and appointed officials, MSGCU Board Members, Executives and Branch staff members joined in the celebration.

“It is a very rewarding experience to honor and celebrate a milestone of this magnitude in our home county,” said Lorie Dietz, MSGCU Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “We are proud to be part of this community and look forward to many more years of service in Macomb County.”

MSGCU’s Main branch is located at 40400 Garfield Road, just south of 18 Mile Road, in Clinton Township. To learn more about MSGCU’s comprehensive suite of financial services and products, visit msgcu.org or call 866.674.2848.
