MSGCU’s Jeanette Driver Honored as an ATHENA Award Nominee by Macomb County Chamber

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – May 9, 2018 – At an award ceremony on Friday, Jeanette Driver, MSGCU Community Relations and Business Development Manager was honored as an ATHENA Award nominee by the Macomb County Chamber. The ATHENA Award honors women and men who excel in their chosen field, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and open paths so that others may follow.

At MSGCU, Jeanette actively participates in community outreach to build strategic partnerships, promote financial literacy and support charitable causes within the metro Detroit community. In addition, she volunteers her time as a member of more than ten community service organizations. MSGCU is proud of the positive impact Jeanette has had on the community and honored to have her leading its community relations and consumer education teams.
“Jeanette exemplifies our mission of people helping people. Through her leadership, we reach thousands in our community and help them to achieve their financial goals,” said President and CEO, Peter Gates. “MSGCU is deeply committed to the Michigan community and we are very proud to see Jeanette recognized for her positive impact on those we serve.”

With the help of its talented team members, members, and surrounding communities, MSGCU has received several community, industry and workplace awards. In February, the MSGCU consumer education team was named Business Partner of the Year by the Warren Consolidated School District. Additionally, the credit union was selected by the Michigan Credit Union League as the first place recipient of the Louise Herring Philosophy-In-Action Member Service Award and received second place in both the Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award and Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award. Because of its collaborative culture and true dedication to the financial well-being of members, MSGCU recently received the Detroit Free Press Top Workplace honor for the fifth consecutive year.
