OperaHERE: 2017-2018 Michigan Opera Theatre Season Preview

Join the Bloomfield Township Library on Monday, July 31 at 7 p.m. at the Bloomfield Township Public Library when Michigan Opera Theatre’s resident musicologist and audience engagement coordinator, Austin Stewart, will introduce new and experienced audiences to the 2017-2018 season at the Michigan Opera Theatre.

 

This whirlwind 90-minute presentation will explore three great war horses of opera—Verdi’s Rigoletto, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and Puccini’s Tosca—as well as two new works—Ricky Ian Gordon’s 27 on the life and times of Gertrude Stein in Paris, and a new production of The Summer King on the story of baseball legend Josh Gibson.
